Historique :	Joseph Porraz, né à Chambéry, fils d'André Porraz, exerce rue Tupin. Le 8 juillet 1765, il est apprenti chez Henri Fauché à Grenoble jusqu'en 1768 puis chez Mugnier. Le 16 janvier 1770 il est reçu maître-orfèvre avec caution de François de Thome. En 1782 il est cité rue Tupin. Connu également comme graveur en taille douce. Sa fille épousa Joseph Meunier, maître-orfèvre chambérien le 13 décembre 1798.
