Description :	Cette machine opère dans le cadre du cycle d'apprêt des tissus. Foulon à engrenage en bois (roues dentées en bois) équipé de 2 paires de rouleaux en bois recouverts de fibre de verre et doublés de joues en cuivre d'un diamètre supérieur pour éviter que le tissu comprimé ne cherche une issue latérale. Le principe du foulage consiste à faire passer durant plusieurs heures un tissu cousu en boucle entre une série de rouleaux dont la vitesse à l'entrée est supérieure à celle de la sortie, obligeant ainsi les fils et les fibres à se resserrer en longueur et en largeur.
